Why Women Only??

Most of the co-ed group runs I've been to have wide gaps in running paces. A women's running group gives greater opportunity to running paces that are more compatible with women - especially for new runners and/or runners getting back into it.

Running Buddy System

We are all here to help each other run better and make each run more fun. It is our tradition that everyone is paired up with another runner. Even though we all start off as a group, ensuring that each person has someone to run with is important for safety and motivation. See Video

Where? And How Long?

Currently there are several rotating courses with more in the works - starting from RD Keene's Point Park in Windermere (Lots of marathons, triathlons, and cycling events are popular here and even part of the Disney Marathon goes through this area), Winter Park at Lake Baldwin, Lake Eola in downtown Orlando and Crane's Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.

The main running course is 4 miles and there's a 2 mile extension for those who want a little extra ooomph! (4 miles = 6.4 Kilometers , 6 miles = 9.7 Kilometers). Since there are many OWR runners who are training for upcoming marathons each week we'll offer an extended course.

biggrin PLEASE OWR PROMOTE THIS GROUP! The more we have in our group the more fun and flexible it will be. Call, email, text, or rope a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker to the next run. >>> Testimonials
